Born in Bangkok and raised in the diverse culinary landscape of Los Angeles, Chef Amanda Maneesilasan brings a unique perspective to Thai cuisine as Executive Chef and Co-Owner of Chao Krung Thai. Her cooking reflects a personal mission to showcase the breadth and depth of Thai flavors beyond what's typically available in America. Drawing inspiration from treasured family recipes, Amanda creates dishes that honor her heritage while delighting modern palates. During her residency, guests can look forward to experiencing her signature creations like the exquisite Prawn Pad Thai, flavorful Massaman Curry, and perfectly prepared Kai Yang.
